Bill is a native Texan, born in Dallas, but grew up in the small town of Stonewall, Oklahoma, where he attended school. Upon graduation from high school, Bill attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, earning a degree in music education. While a student at East Central, Bill, feeling God’s calling into the ministry, began to serve small churches as a worship leader and music minister.
After graduation from college, Bill served the First Baptist Church of Purcell, Oklahoma, and the Wooster Baptist Church in Baytown, Texas. It was during his time in Baytown that he met and married Janet Lee, a graduate of Texas A&M University.
After marriage Bill attended and graduated from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Upon graduation he and Janet moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma, where he served as Music and University Minister at the First Baptist Church. It was during this time in Stillwater that Bill’s son, Brent was born. In August of 1996 Bill and his family moved to College Station where he became Minister of Music at the First Baptist Church, a position that he still holds today.
Bill is a former member of the Oklahoma Singing Churchmen and the Singing Men of Southeast Texas and is currently an active member of the Singing Men of North Central Texas.Read More
HI! My name is Bronwyn (Ms. "B" to the kids) and I am the Children's Minister here at First Baptist Church College Station. I have been a Minister to Children full-time for 20 years, 14 of those here at FBCCS. I love seeing boys and girls accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior and I love sharing in their baptisms! I also love helping children hide God's Word in their hearts. Children's Camp is my favorite week of the year! I graduated from Baylor University (Go Bears!) in 1993 with a BA in Psychology and a Minor in Religion. In 1995, I received a Master of Arts in Religious Education with a concentration in Childhood Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. I am currently working on my dissertation in order to complete a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction, focusing in Early Childhood Education at Texas A&M University. My family is a very important part of my life. My son, Grant, fills my free time. I see my parents a lot since they only live an hour away. We love going to Baylor games and just spending time together fishing or antiquing.Read More
I am passionate about two things in Student Ministry, Youth and Missions. My desire is to see students—know God, to do His will, and to share Him with others. Before coming to FBC College Station, Josh served in churches in both Texas and Louisiana. He is a graduate from Hardin-Simmons University and has begun work on his Master of Arts in Christian Education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In his free time Josh enjoys taking trip to find Texas Historical Markers, watching baseball, good food, camping, hunting and fishing.Read More
I am beyond excited to work with the students of A&M and Blinn as we all seek to more closely follow Jesus! i have been married to my college crush/girlfriend Carlin for 5 years - so there is hope in finding love. We love to spend our time exploring new places, eating good food, and watching reality shows and sports. I graduated from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) with a degree in Secondary Education (Math) in 2010, as well as from Beeson Divinity School with a Master of Divinity in 2014. prior to joining the team at FBCCS, I served as a Student Pastor 20 miles outside Atlanta, GA.
Why College Ministry?
College was the most spiritually transforming time for Carlin and me. During our 4 years at Alabama, our faith became our own, Jesus became our guide, and we desired to pour ourselves deeply into his ministry! We have a real burden; to seek to cultivate this in college students who come after us as we share what we have seen and give our lives to campus ministry.Read More
